A story about friendship, fairness, and the love of poker.
"Some of the best moments in life happen around a poker table — laughing with friends, bluffing badly, and celebrating an unlikely win. This project is my way of keeping that feeling alive."
A good friend of mine moved to Spain a while ago. We used to play Texas Hold'em together all the time — at kitchen tables, in noisy bars, late into the night. After he left, I realized how much I missed those evenings. The cards, the chips, the terrible jokes, the heated debates about whether someone was bluffing.
I tried playing online. I downloaded apps. I tried websites. And every single time, something felt off.
Whether it's a mobile app or a web game, almost every online poker platform tweaks its algorithms. The deals aren't truly random — they're adjusted to keep players engaged, to encourage them to spend money, or to push them toward clicking ads. You get suspicious winning streaks followed by inevitable losing ones. You notice patterns that don't feel natural.
I looked for a game that I could trust. A game where the cards fall where they may, with no hidden agenda. I couldn't find one that satisfied me.
So I decided to build one.
I'm not alone in this. A few close friends joined me — people who share the same frustration and the same love for the game. Together, we set out with a few simple principles:
Our random number generator is cryptographically secure. Our core game engine is open source — anyone can inspect it. No manipulation, no hidden parameters, no "engagement optimization." The cards are random, period.
We don't exist to make money off you. There are no pay-to-win mechanics, no premium accounts, no ads designed to exploit your psychology. This is a project built by poker lovers, for poker lovers.
A poker game should be fast and responsive. We've invested heavily in infrastructure to ensure low-latency gameplay, no matter where you or your opponents are in the world.
The code that powers our card dealing and hand evaluation is open source — anyone can verify that the shuffle is truly random and every pot is awarded correctly. No black boxes, no hidden logic.
This project is our small contribution to the poker community. It's a game built with care, with honesty, and with the hope that it brings people together — just like those evenings around the kitchen table.
Whether you're a seasoned player or someone who's never shuffled a deck, we welcome you. Pull up a chair, deal the cards, and enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.
Here's to fair games, good friends, and the cards falling where they may.
