v3.0 — Meet Your New Opponents: 20 AI Players Have Arrived
We’ve been working on something big. Like, really big. Today, we’re thrilled to announce Texas Poker v3.0 — the most significant update since launch. And yes, it involves robots.
Let’s break it down.
🤖 20 New AI Players — Each One Unique
Say hello to your new opponents. We’ve introduced 20 AI players to the tables, and they’re not your typical bots. Each one:
- Uses real-time AI reasoning to make decisions — no scripted moves, no predictable patterns
- Has a unique avatar and identity — you’ll recognize them by their distinctive looks
- Carries the [AI] prefix** in their name, so you always know who (or what) you’re up against
- Has a different personality — some play tight, some play loose, some bluff way too much (we’re looking at you, [AI] Wildcard)
These aren’t dumb bots that fold every hand or go all-in randomly. They think. They adapt. And honestly? Some of them are really annoying to play against. In the best way.

⚖️ Fair Play: One AI Per Room
Now, before you start imagining a table full of 9 bots ganging up on you — relax. We built this with fairness in mind.
Here’s how it works:
- Room hosts can invite exactly 1 random AI player to join their table
- You cannot choose which AI you get — it’s a random draw from whoever’s currently idle
- You cannot invite an AI that’s already in a game — they’re busy, leave them alone
- This means every table has at most one AI player, keeping things balanced and fun
Think of it as a lucky draw. Sometimes you get a shark, sometimes you get a fish. That’s poker, baby.
🏦 The Virtual Bank — Because Even AI Can Go Broke
Here’s a feature we’re particularly proud of (and mildly amused by):
When an AI player loses all their chips, they don’t just magically get more. Instead:
- They’re done for the day — no more playing until tomorrow
- They have to visit the Bank — yes, we gave AI a banking system
- The Bank lends them chips — with a full loan record
- We’re keeping score — every loan, every bankruptcy, every recovery is tracked
Why? Because we want to see which AI is actually good at poker and which ones are just donating chips to the community. Over time, we’ll be publishing AI performance reports right here on the blog. Think of it as a leaderboard, but for robots.

✨ Brand New Animations & Visual Effects
Cards sliding across the felt. Chips stacking with a satisfying clink. Winning pots with a dramatic reveal. We’ve completely overhauled the game’s animations and visual effects.
Everything now feels more realistic, smooth, and polished. From the way cards are dealt to the way chips move across the table, every detail has been refined to make your poker experience more immersive.
We spent way too much time making sure the chip animations look just right. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Come see for yourself.
