We’re excited to release Texas Poker v2.0 — a significant update focused on improving game clarity, immersion, and stability. Here’s everything that’s new.
🎯 New Settlement Panel
One of the most requested features is here. After each hand concludes, a detailed settlement panel now appears, showing:
- Hand Rankings — the final hand type for each player (e.g., “Two Pair”, “Full House”)
- Pot Breakdown — total pot size, side pots (if any), and how chips are distributed
- Winner Highlight — a clear visual indicator showing who won and how much they received
This makes it easy to understand exactly what happened in every hand, especially in complex scenarios with side pots and all-ins.
🔊 Sound Effects
Texas Poker now has game sound effects to make the experience more immersive:
- Card dealing sounds
- Chip betting and pot collection sounds
- Action confirmation sounds (check, call, raise, fold)
- Timer warning beeps when time is running low
- Win celebration sound
Sound can be toggled on/off from the game settings at any time.
🙈 Folded Hands Hidden in History
In previous versions, all players’ hole cards were visible in the hand history — even those who folded. We’ve updated this for better privacy and realism:
- Players who folded before showdown will now have their hole cards hidden in the hand history
- Only players who went to showdown will have their cards revealed
- This matches real-world poker etiquette where folded hands are kept private
🐛 Crash Fixes
We’ve identified and fixed several issues that could cause the game to crash or freeze:
- Fixed a crash when multiple players went all-in simultaneously
- Resolved a rare disconnect issue during the showdown phase
- Fixed a rendering glitch on certain mobile devices when the action bar appeared
- Improved connection recovery after network interruptions
- Fixed a memory leak that could occur during long play sessions
🎨 UI Layout Refinements
We’ve made several small but impactful adjustments to the game interface:
- Improved card sizing — cards are now slightly larger and easier to read on all screen sizes
- Better action button spacing — Fold, Check/Call, and Raise buttons have more breathing room
- Clearer chip counts — player chip balances are now displayed with better contrast and formatting
- Optimized table layout — seat positions and avatar sizes have been fine-tuned for a cleaner look
- Smoother animations — reduced animation jank on lower-end devices
What’s Next
We’re continuing to improve Texas Poker based on your feedback. Upcoming features include:
- Tournament mode — structured multi-table tournaments with prize pools
- Hand replay — watch and analyze your past hands
- Player profiles — detailed statistics and achievement tracking
- More sound themes — choose from different sound effect styles
Thank you for playing and for your continued feedback. See you at the tables! 🃏
